The Wisconsin FFA FIRE Conference was on Saturday, October 17 at UW - River Falls. The Unity and Luck FFA chapters were among those who attended. FIRE stands for Foundations in Reaching Excellence. The conference helps FFA members discover opportunities in FFA and gain leadership skills. This conference is one of three FIRE conferences around the state for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade members. Over 250 members attended the River Falls conference.
The conference was conducted by the 2015-2016 State FFA Officers, along with the UW-River Falls Ag Education Society. The conference theme was 'Camping to Be S'More.' State officers encouraged students that attened the FIRe conference to set goals for their FFA involvement.
Luck FFA members who attended included Shayla Hulett, Julianna Thompson, and Haley Hermansen. Unity FFA members who attended were Brandon Schultz, Marcus Bokenyi, Mellisa Valleen, Payden bainbridge, Lizzy Gross, Megan Glenna, Isabelle Coen, and Molly Trieschman.
