The Luck FFA and Luck FFA Alumni chapters invite you to join us during National FFA Week to celebrate FFA and show your support of agricultural education and the future of agriculture. This week — and every week — we recognize the impact our members and supporters have on our chapters, communities and agriculture. By doing just one positive thing, each and every one of us can make a difference.
This year National FFA Week begins on February 16 and sends on February 23.
Did you know that? FFA Week always runs from Saturday to Saturday while encompassing George Washington’s birthday. The tradition of National FFA Week began in 1948 in recognition of Washington’s legacy as an agriculturist and farmer.
Here's what you can do to support the FFA during National FFA Week!
February 13 - 24: Tractor Supply FFA Paper Emblem Fundraiser
Grants For Growing is an annual fundraiser and competitive grant process designed to impact local communities through the support of sustainable agriculture-focused projects. Since 2016, FFA has partnered with Tractor Supply Company to help fund over 950 FFA chapter projects. Donate at your local TSC store at the checkout register or donate online when making a purchase on tractorsupply.com.
February 14 - 26: Luck FFA Fruit Sales
Fruit Sales are back! Contact a Luck FFA member or Ms. Konder to order your fruit. Funds are used for FFA events, leadership conferences, and contests.
Saturday, February 16: National FFA Week Begins!
Tuesday, February 19: Give FFA Day
The National FFA Foundation will celebrate, Give FFA Day, a daylong campaign encouraging the public to support various needs impacting FFA members. Give FFA Day is an annual 24-hour campaign encouraging the public to support various needs impacting FFA members. Last year, the National FFA Foundation raised more than $161,000 in one day! This year’s goal is to raise $200,000.
Wednesday, February 20: Luck FFA Alumni meeting
Join us in the ag room at Luck High School at 7 p.m. Please consider becoming a member of the Luck FFA Alumni. You do not need to be a former FFA member to join nor do you need to live in the Luck area. Anybody who wants to support the Luck FFA can join. Plus, annual membership is free!
Thursday, February 21: FFA Alumni Day
Consider becoming a Lifetime Member. National Dues of Invested into the Alumni Investment Account. A percentage of the account is used each year to grow leaders through leadership conferences, curriculum, scholarships and grants. On average, 629 FFA members are impacted every year. After a century, your one-time dues will have helped more than 60,000 FFA members.
Friday, February 22: National Wear Blue Day
Wear blue to show your support of the FFA. Post a photo of you wearing blue on social media with the hashtag #FFAJustOne
Saturday, February 23: National FFA Week ends.

Culver's Kicks Off Annual FFA Essay Contest
Culver's is continuing its tradition of celebrating National FFA Week by launching its fifth annual FFA Essay Contest. Three essay writers will be chosen to receive $7,500, $5,000 or $2,500 for their FFA chapters. The essay contest is an opportunity for students to show their knowledge of—and passion for—the agricultural industry. FFA members are encouraged to submit essays of 1,000 words or less at Culvers.com/essaycontest until April 8, 2019.
Win a New Set of Firestone Ag Tires for Your Tractor
Firestone Ag has supported the National FFA Organization for 75 years. To honor their heritage, Firestone Ag is kicking off FFA Week with the “Rooted in Farming” contest that encourages current and former FFA members to share their family’s personal history in farming and how their involvement in FFA has helped pave the way for future generations of farmers.
The contest starts on February 16 and ends February 28. It is open to current FFA members that are 16 years of age and older, alumni, and advisors. Members can submit their entry through their website. One winning entry will receive a set of Firestone Ag tires (up to a $2,500 value) for their tractor. Three runners-up will each be awarded a $500 gift card towards Firestone Ag products. For every qualifying submission received, Firestone Ag will contribute $75 (up to $100,000 total) to the National FFA Foundation.
